Boat Transport

Any idea who the driver is?

Howard told me he's doing the run personally. I think they said arch was ok, just radome needed to come down.

question, is it customary to give a tip when they deliver the boat aside from the price?

Now I probably won't sleep until friday morning.
 
I had Howard and since he is owner, I didn't tip.
If it was someone else, I would of tipped $50 to $100.
 
I tipped on both ends of my transport. I gave $100 going down and $2oo once completed
 
Any thoughts on local (to long island) transport? Looking at a boat out east, potentially, and not sure of I want to run the boat back to lindenhurst yet, still a little early in the season for me, especially this year. Any idea of costs for a boat in the 31-34 range from out east?

I've used chris at hippie chic for local transport and his prices have always been great. I used svennsons for the fl transport since hisprice was much better, both good transporters.
 
Svensons would be my first choice, but I would definately run it over water if I was you.
Let me know if you need crew!
 
IMO

Svensons or run it on her own bottom. You will have no shortage of help here.
 
I wish svennson had a tracking thing like the map when you fly jetblue. I want to know where my boat is!
 
wouldn't that be great - and it'd advise you of the ETA more accurately than "Friday Morning"...

There must be an app for that.
 
I think the app is going to be i'm going to call for an update at some point tomorrow if i don't hear from them first. On a funny note i was travelling southbound today on the 135 and saw my old boat going north on the 135

Used him 5 years ago to haul a 21' from from Freeport to West Babylon and block it in my driveway. Good job, reasonable price, nice guy.
 
I use Tommy from Isle Marine Transport. He's always done a good job for me.

I watched your video and was not sure what to think of how beautiful the weather looked w/NO SNOW on the ground!!

All I know is I think we're ALL READY to go boating!! :)
 
dogdaze, thanks boat arrived this morning they forgot to bring up the sunshine and warmth as requested, but all is good.

lol, yea... I hate it when they forget to send the sunshine.. (and warmth) along w/it.. congratulations... and hope we ALL get to enjoy them soon.. :)

Stick your own GPS tracker or SPOT on it and follow it as it goes.
