It's New Years day - sending out a friendly reminder we are only 4-5 months away from splash time in the Great Lakes again! Let the countdown begin.

In the meantime, enjoy the snow as best you can...

Let's all chip in and use this as our day boat for random winter trips to FL

SLW won't join us though, he's got his own digs.........

And reality, cleaning up after these 16 mega bean droppers. Grandpa is in the foreground, wondering when his next meal is coming.

Not true! I'm there. After all, SOMEONE has to take the good-looking boat. I don't want to be left behind either - you might ask me to take care of your animals. [:-eyebrows]

WOW
I am most definitely in for that annual migration!
The animals may want to tag along too. Looks like there is plenty of room for all.

It's going to be an interesting two days on Michigan's West Coast. Gail force winds, waves 16-18 feet, temperatures falling from 48 degrees to 18 with blowing snow. Got to love this stuff to live here.

Benedict Arnold here, deserted Western PA the thoughts of Great Lakes boating and deserted to Ft Myers FL.

the cruising is great down here, the islands and beaches are something else, and most of the time you are in totally protected waters, all the bay does is get a little chop.

first run, set the throttles at about 1600 and about 6 dolphins followed us for about 5 min. jumping behind the transom just to the right or left. unbelieveable. guess the harmonics of the engines and props gets them right to the boat.

John- You are not allowed to post in this topic ever again. It's for us crazy folks that live on the Great Lakes 365 days out of the year and enjoy Bitc**** about winter.

I'm going out to look at the 12-14' seas on Lake Michigan tomorrow morning when the temp is -7F with a wind chill factor of -35F. I'm hoping to see a few dolphins after I begin hallucinating from the freezing cold.

Mike -

Lake Michigan has it easy - the Erie forecast is calling for 12-16's! When is spring?

Saw the forecast this morning for the wunderland.....ya vol for some and oh yukky for most.

Not as many dolphins on this last trip..friend and i looking out for them.

Sure John - RUB IT IN!!!!!!!
That artic front came through my neck of the woods last night about 2am. WOW! House got really drafty with 40MPH winds. Could not even imagine being near the lake right now.
thanks for the pics. did warm me up (just a little) thinking about it...

Can't stand your snow pain and cold, but more importantly, can't stand being little boatless and not fishing down here.

Pain alleviated not thru advil but by the best way....spending....Everglades and this is one sweet running boat.

nice looking boat John, but ah, you were far from "a little boatless"!

John- that's a hot looking boat. Looks like a ton of fun.

Right now, we're in the middle of a blizzard. 14-20" of snow by 8:00 tonight. I'm moving to Florida as soon as the snow melts.

Only 1 thing I really enjoy during the winter months...
jumping on the CUB and pushing that 42" blower into the snow down my driveway, and the neighbors drives, and the sidewalks in the neighborhood, and.....

and To think I bought it for my boys to use...

minus 20 wind chill today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and I still HATE winter.
Time to paint the dining room...

1 coat of primer and 3 coats of paint later.... and it's still darn cold outside. I need summer before I paint myself into another corner.

You need summer to negate those household chores...Spring will bring on some Fun Sh!T
