Looking for local knowlwdge on current dephts at Bohemia River entrance. I have always favored south side of the entrance but recently noticed as little at 4' of water (about at slack tide) which makes me uncomfortable. Is there a deeper channel into the river?

I usually split the entrance when heading into the Bohemia and line up with the first marker.

I draw 4 feet, and keep my boat on the Bohemia. I have had readings as low as 5 ft but have never hit bottom or stirred up mud except at the entrance to Bobay marina at low tide. When you are in the shallow sections of the river it seems to be shallow across the whole width. I have never been able to find a channel of any significance. I know this isn't much help but if it is not dead low tide or the water isn't blown out of the bay from a north wind you should be OK.
