bottom paint??

bought an older boat and the bottom of the boat is chipped and small cracks all over. also appears to have never been painted. (its an 89 chaparral). will bottom paint take care of this or do i need to seek other means of fixing??

i live in southwest missouri if anybody knows of anyone that will perform the work i need.
