Folks,
Need a suggestion for a brunch place near Massapequa/Amityville area.

Not a diner please...any ideas?

Nice...Interesting Dave...lemme check those two...
thanks

I was going to suggest 56th Fighter Group at Republic Airport. When I was looking them up for a link, I found out they closed last August. Too bad, it was a great brunch.

It's the story of my life, a day late and a dollar short.

Yup, thought it was an interesting place but expect a wait...Hemmingway's got some serious reviews...the wrong kind.

funny, I thought the 56th Fighter Group closed many years ago...I used to lunch there occasionally. not anymore...

I would go to the Snapper Inn in Oakdale or the place next door....but its not in Nassau...trying to keep it there for convenience.

Krisch's a great stop for ice cream. Best around in this area. We really love it!
The other food is kind of basic though. Not sure if it would fit the bill as a good brunch place.

That does look like a nice place!

On a side note: My wife and I went out to dinner last night and I started talking about how I'm looking forward to the end of winter so I can get the boat back in the water. I like having dinner on the boat while anchored, and going out to dinner with it to waterfront restaurants. I told her the two things we need around here is a good brunch place, and a sushi place on the water with transient docking.

Snapper inn fits the brunch on water place.
And right up the river is the view which serves sushi.
Both have docking.

Asked and answered.

yes to Snapper...that's where I would have gone and may actually go there now that she wants to go to Tanger after.

thanks again for everyone's input as usual...always good advice and ideas...
