There is a lot appening in Chestertown, MD this weekend.

First, its the Fifth Annual Paint the Town event, when fifty artists from all over the east coast arrive on Thursday to begin four days of painting the historic streetscapes, colorful Farmers Market, beautiful Chester River, and surrounding rural landscapes of Kent County (two were painting Still Pond Creek from our dock yesterday). Paint the Town, running through Sunday, April 27, is the premier plein air event sponsored by Chestertown RiverArts. Beginning at 5:30 Saturday night is the judging and reception at RiverArts with complementary wine and hors d'oeuvres for the public (free admission) I'll be tending one of the bars at RiveraArts. Of course the regular Saturday Farmers' Market will be in Fountain Park until noon on Saturday.

Sunday is the Chestertown' Taste of the Town where area restaurants set up under the big tents in Fountain Park in the center of town and offer samples of their wares. Admission to Taste of the Town is $15.

Yes, I'm a busy volunteer this weekend. If any BE ROs should show up in Chestertown this weekend just ask for me at RiverArts. They'll know where to find me all weekend.

Mike,
That sounds like it was a great weekend. We will be heading to Chestertown for the Tea Party on Memorial Day Weekend. We have several boats staying at Chester River Yacht and Country club. Stop by if your in town.

Van,
I'll be around. We'll have to stay in touch. The town is usually packed for Tea Party Weekend.
