We are going to the silverton rendezvous in mystic ct in july. We would then like to proceed onto montauk point and then out to block island. We cannot wait! Now the questions:
#1: I understand champlins marina likes to raft boats big time. Is this true and what do you all have to say about staying at champlins? Are there any other marinas there to consider?
#2: If we decide to stay in the salt pond, are there moorings for rent or is it strictly anchoring here? How crowed is it likely to be mid week in July? If there are moorings, who do I call to get one?
#3: What is a must do on block island entertainment wise besides obviously enjoying just being there?
#4: Any comments on Payne's?, Smugglers? block island boat basin? Are any of these marinas able to accommodate a 39 silverton?
#5: Any precautions regarding navigation from mystic to block?
