Hey, Vic....some of us were wondering how you are doing these days. I'm hoping you still poke in to check up on us now and then. If you do, how about a comment or two????

Aren't you glad I'm not asking about your head?!!

Hi Liz, yes I'm still alive and kicking - appreciate you asking.

After leaving Raritan at the end of September, 2011, I bought a newer motor home (1992 Toyota-powered Winnebago) and the wife, mother-in-law and I have been doing a fair amount of traveling in it. This one has the V-6 engine, rather than the 4 cylinder in my older one. Much better performance with very similar fuel consumption. Bought it from a family member who had maintained it meticulously. Both air conditioners, the refrigerator and the engine had all been replaced shortly before I bought it. So while its over 20 years old, in essence, it's practically new.

As far as my head goes, I'd installed a Raritan Atlantes model in the basement of my home back in September, 1991. It was the very first Atlantes model made to operate on city water pressure. It's still there and working fine after 22 years. In that time, I've replaced (2) solenoid valves and (1) joker valve - nothing else. So, while I didn't leave Raritan under the best of situations, I still have total faith in the products they manufacture. Their "Marine Elegance" model is nothing short of fantastic!

Note that the basement toilet installation won't pass any plumbing codes but I'm in a rural area, and the property has been in my family since the late 1930's - so I don't particularly care it it passes code.

Other than that, my health is good, my attitude is good - I haven't starved to death, and I can stay up late, then sleep till noon if I wish - what more can you ask for?

All the best, Vic

Good to hear from you! And it is nice to know that life is going well. Now we can all breath easier......

Vic, I'm glad your traveling with family. It sounds really nice. I just saw a Toyota based camper for sale on the outskirts of Tuckerton on my way to the boat last week. I had posted in another thread and Liz smartly posted here in the head section wondering what you were up to. It sounds like your enjoying life and your stress levels sound lower. Always good to hear from you stranger!
Take care Vic,
Bill
