Can a surveyor take a preliminary loock at a boat?

Here is the situation, i am in Montreal Canada loocking at a boat in Naples Florida. Alwys loved the cruisers 3375 but whasnt in the budget found on in Florida that could be, but is it to good of a DEAL? If i could get someone to have a preliminary loock at the boat it would maybe save me a round trip in Florida for nothing. I whant a sterndrive setup, this one as 454 and bravo threes. Very waried about engine and sterndrive in salt water. can a surveyor have an idea by loocking at a boat?
