While "playing" with my buttons on the SC1000-- my "port engine diagnostic alarm" was triggered. It sounded every minute for about 15 minutes. All the guages were fine across the board (oil, water, temp, my drive lube was fine, bilge, etc). Once I shut the engine and restarted, the alarm never sounded again (about another 15 minutes total). Could the SC1000 when resetting cause anything? or do I need to get in there and investigate further? Was this completely coincidental?
