The London Boat Show is on. A terrific event. Loads of boats, and even a Royal Navy frigate to prowl around on! As usual there are many bargains to be had, but also some ridiculous prices...
One thing I'm shopping around for is a new cooker hob, and having found only expensive ones at the show I trawled around on the internet, and to my suprise found a few nice and very cheap ones intended for domestic use. In particular several AEG ones caught my eye with the phrase "Conversion kit for propane / butane included" which got me to wondering...
Are all natural gas (which is what we have here in the UK) cooker hobs able to run off a butane supply? And what exactly does this 'conversion kit' consist of?
I already have a safe vented external box fitted to house my butane gas bottle, and an internal gas leak sensor, but any other safety tips would be appreciated.
