Some isenglass ripped during last weeks storm and needs to be sewed.

Who do you guys use? I went to seafarer last month, before the storm but was not happy to pay $80 to stitch a seam. Maybe I'm being unreasonable. Now I have two seams to sew.

I have been very happy with them but it seems everyone I recommend to go there says there pricing is high?
I just had him replace my entire front panel and I thought he was very reasonable for the work.

Their pricing is high because they gave you such a fantastic deal on your upholstery that they are still trying to break even.

I used Mahopac Upholstery for a new isenglass zipper last year, about 3' zipper - $20. Apparently they do a fair amount of boat canvas work. how long was the $80 seam?

The $80 seam was one of the smiles on the front canvas, maybe 4' total.

Thanks i will try Mahopac

I just had Seafarer so some work and they were very reasonable actually less then I expected. In fact I called them today hoping to have them make another repair that just happened and I made arrangements to bring it on Monday next week. I should be able to pick it up Tues or Wed.

Problem solved, thead, needle, cup of coffee and three hours later I was done, sore thumb and all.
A couple club members have the sewing machine but don't know how to use it...we are thinking of starting a sewing club or recruiting from my mother in laws quilting club at the senior center.

I drop my canvas off at Seafarer this morning to have them replace the the glass and Velcro on my rear panel they said I could pick it up by 5pm.
I will stop by tomorrow to pick it up I didn't have time today but I couldn't ask for better service! I probably should have asked how much but I trust them they have always done right by me so far!
