Captain Phil, I saw your new boat in the recent edition of Bay and Delta Yachtsman....very impressive. In the article you stated that the boat "really moves out". If you had that thing on a back slough, mirror flat water, how fast do you think that thing could go. Great looking rig.

Right around 50 knots if pushed hard. She is also very thirsty at that speed.
That is a great boat that does all we ask of her and more. Very good at a multitude of scenarios.

The only thing I would add would be a wet bar.....oh well maybe not.

Phil, 50 knots that's 58 mph, 450 horsepower, working backwards that's a gross weight divided by horsepower of about 8 from the planning speed graph, I would guess she weighs 8 times 450 equals 3600 pounds, is that right? I would guess very thirsty at 50 knots means 40 gallons per hour, is that right?

I just looked at her picture in the Sept online Yachtsman and she is a very nice boat. Do you keep her at Sugar Barge? I hope she goes by and I can see her when I am out at Swing Beach Sunday. DD

I'm not sure of the weight, but that sounds about right. We keep her at the house on BI not far from Sugarbarge. She went to Sac to North River for some minor welding repairs (warrantee issues). I should have her back in service next week.
