I'm in a strange situation with residency. I live in Merrick (Town of Hemstead), and my boat is docked in Lindenhurst (Town of Babylon). So I don't cruise anywhere near Merrick, to take advantage of local marinas.
To avoid crazy dockage charges ($70 a day at Tobay!), I've been going to Robert Moses (free during the week).
I was looking for a place to picnic, get something to eat, have the kids run around, hang-out, really just a change of scenery.
I've passed Captree on the way to Robert Moses. I've called and they say it's also free to dock during the week (State Park). Now my question (finally), where could a 19' boat dock? Every time I pass I look & it seems filled up with the fishing charter boats. Any ideas?
