My boat's carpet needs to be replaced because of salt water intrusion from Sandy. Has anyone used A-1 Carpets in West Babylon, they have a sign on their building which says they also do boat carpeting. I have used them for my house carpeting and they were very good. Also, does anyone have any other recomendations? The boat is a 27 foot Maxum crusier, carpet is needed in the cabin.

There is a father and son who don't work together, but separately install carpets in boats. I don't have more info yet, but another RO may beat me to it. As I recall I used the father and he did an outstanding job. I will get more info for you later.

fellow ROs, I'm in the same boat - pun intended. Was looking at one of those wood floors, I think it's called Lonseal? Has anyone used theat before, knows how to install (over semi-rough fiberglass bottom) or any other info?

Thanks - boat is a 31 Rinker

I'll second John from Golden Carpets, I had a cockpit carpet done by them and was very happy with the service.

fun- In order to use anything but carpet you have to have a completely smooth floor as a base.

I agree with Golden Carpet. John completed a job for me this passed summer and did a perfect job.
