Can anyone out there with same boat tell me if they have a domestic fresh water pump that is very noisy? When my pump turns on, the noise in the boat, especially the washrooms is very loud. I am thinking of either replacing it or possibly remounting it.

I don't have the same boat but the fresh water pump on my 350 is also very noisey and I bet Carver usesd the same pump. Not much help but at least your not alone.

My 3807 had a noisy pump that crapped out on us. Seems that the one I replaced it with was a little quieter. If you don't have one, if you replace the pump, you might want to put an accumulator tank in line with it. I wish I had.

I had to replace the water pump on my '98 355 last year. It was difficult to get to as it was located on the aft engine room bulkhead behind the port engine. I relocated it under the aft cabin stairs behind the starboard engine. It does make noise but only when pumping. I don't consider this a problem, but if you have a leak or the pressure sensor on the pump is bad then yes it could be a problem.

I don't have the same boat, but, I have an '89 3257 Montego. I just replaced my pump as the old one burned out. This little three-piston 3.5 GPM pump is indeed loud! My wife said it moos like a cow...very loud. It is also conveniently installed under the mid-cabin where she sleeps! I feel your pain...
