I have a 1991 36AC. When I left the boat last time all the salon outlets were working. I come back to the boat and all three outlets in the salon don't work. I have power to the breaker. I also have power on the other side of the breaker. Has anyone had this issue? Does anyone have any ideas? I can not find any GFCI's that are popped.

Thanks for the help,
Brian

I had the same situation and found the GFCI on the back deck (cockpit) was popped, but it did not look or feel like it was popped until I reset it a couple of times. I am in the process of replacing that outlet.

My 2001 356 has a few GFI around the boat and they control all the outlets. The GFIs can be hidden under cabinets for the fridge or ice maker. In the head too. That is most likely the culprit.

Agree with others. Very likely you have another outlet you don't know about. Same thing happened to a buddy of mine with a boat he has had for several years. It took him a while to find it, but he found a hidden GFI outlet.

Sounds like a plan. I will look for a hidden GFCI. Thanks for the help. I will let you know what I find.

Sometimes there is one under a counter or in cabinet in the head. A friend of mine threw out a fan thinking it died and then realized none of the outlets were working. It took us a while but we eventually found it and then he had to go through the dumpster to get the fan back.

In my Trojan there is one under the guest bed. You can not really see it unless you are on your hands and knees looking in the little door. When I bought the boat the television and coffee maker did not work. Nor would the refer work on AC. I negotiated an additional $2500 off on the boat because of this. Thought for sure i needed at the least some electrical work done and maybe a new refer. Imagine my delight when the first night on the boat looking closer in all the cubby holes I find the gfci that controlled it.

John where is this outlet I'm not sure I have one there?

Just inside the left door under the guest berth. It is mounted such that you can not see it unless you get down to look in there. I just looked for a pic of it but unfortunately I don't have one. I now use it to keep my submersible flashlight and handheld radio charged.

If a hidden gfci doesn't do it, one culprit could be corroded wiring to the outlet within the electrical box on the back deck. I found that water must have been leaking into my box for a while, and corroded the wiring, so I ran new from the panel to the box and all was good again, with a new box and fresh faceplate gaskets.

In my 370 I have one in the cabinet where they intended a tv to be put in 1994. You probably have an ice maker here in the 1991.

My aft deck mounted ice maker has its GFCI connect to the aft deck outlet.

My galley GFCI controls the galley, dinette, forwards head and forward stateroom.

Main salon is all on one.

Aft cabin all alone as well. And aft deck as mentioned above.

Problem fixed. There was a GFCI in the TV cabinet in the aft cabin. Thanks for the tips it sure helped.
