I am a new Carver 404 CPMY owner. On my recent run up Lake Huron I noticed the Chart Plotter is almost impossible to read given it's location and angle to the helm seat.

Has anyone addressed this with a modification to the instrument locations with an offsetting fiberglass mount or ?

I am thinking of replacing the C620 and RL70c with a single C120. Any other comments advise?

Thanks in advance,

Gord

I dont know your model but are you sure that polarized sunglasses arent the cause?

Bruce may be the winner! From certain angles, I can't see my GPS (or LCD tv) with polarized 'glasses.

I wish it was the glasses, but no.

It's the angle from the helm seat location to the display, it's about 70 degrees and about 3 feet away. What I need is a NavPod type mount that would align the display directly in line with the helm seat postion. Of course a NavPod would create a challenge with the holes already cut in the dash, but that may be my only option.

I will try to get a picture to post to show what I mean.

Thanks,

the pod or a mount that uses the same hole but tilts the display toward you. The pod is probably a better idea to get it in front of you.
