Was wondering if anyone has seen one in person and what their thoughts were? Was hoping in a few years that we'd maybe find one affordable! :)

Large interior, bigger looking version of your current Mariner. Not a boat for me but I do see the appeal!

Haven't seen one...and probably won't...at least at our dealership. Jacobs found it necessary to rid himself of both the oldest and largest Carver/ Marquis dealers in the world so Skipper Buds could sell them in our areas.

Other than be being butt f- ugly (lines on the boat) I like it :)I like traditional looks, so with that said, don't take my butt f-ugly comment with any disrespect.

I recently heard about this, with the Illinois dealer. I wondered about yours as well.

Sorry to hear that Ken. I think its throughout the midwest. They picked the Carver dealership up in Milwaukee as well. I believe SB also became the Tiara dealer in OH.

I agree. It looks funny, but it has room inside and out.
My friend has a 32' Mariner and it has a buttload of room inside and on top. But looks funny. Seems like Carver could figure out a way to make it look better.

I think it does look different but it seems very functional and roomy for the size. 12 people on the bridge which is what we get now. I can't stand the sedan bridges that are 40+ feet and sit 5-6 people only.
Oh, well time will tell.;0

Ironically, Trailer Boats Magazine just did an article in defense of and promoting classic style and functional boats.

I am clueless as to what happened to smaller boats (or larger) that took them away from looking like a "BOAT".

Maybe I'm just getting old.

Personally I like all the comforts of home in Saint Max, but I LOVE the look and feel of a BOAT.

What's a BOAT? An old Hatt, CC Roamer or similar on the large side to a Glaspar 21 Cuddy on the functional small side. I loved the utility and economy of my Regal 2465, however, I absolutely hated getting to the bow on the rim of a bubble..

The Sojourn is really futt bugly in term of style...however...the utilitarian value in futt bugly far outweighs the looks. Every boat is a compromise.

Good Luck.

My bridge seats 8 + LWL is 37' beam is 13'10"

This boat IMHO makes better use of space and my boat is no slouch.

Look at the 36C Silverton You may also want to look at the 4080 Regal

I would be going after a 42/43 Carver Super Sport before this boat. Even the older 410/420 Mariners.

Or you could go a few years older and get the Regal 3780 and save a bit on slip fees. [^]

I agree with you 370. My local Carver dealer(Ontario Canada) has had a Sojurn for 3 years now and still has it. I don't like it that much either. A 42/43 SS is the ticket.
