I'm selling my 32 Carver Mariner. Detail and pics in the classified ads forum.

I reserve the right to ping you for answers on the Mariner though! :) You have been very helpful when diagnosing mine!!!

So your air conditioner, did you add that or did it come with it? Where is it located and what power hookup? I notice on the back deck only one power supply like mine and would have thought a second power supply would be needed.

I like the back door cover too the way the center piece rolls up. What's with the cover on the over hang above the back door?

I installed the A/C as the boat did not have one when I bought it. The Mermaid unit is located in the galley base cabinet-under the sink but on the other side of the partition. That is where the factory installed their systems. I do have only 1 30 amp power supply because I have a propane stove which is the only other large power user. The propane locker is the box located on the swim platform. The power line for an electric stove and the breaker were already in place, so all I had to do was terminate it at the A/C unit and activate the breaker. The overhang on the back door is a canvas awning over stainless piping-apparently was the precursor to the fiberglass awnings Carver put on the later Mariners. Anytime you have any questions, I'd be glad to share what I know. After 11 years with the same boat....ya get pretty intimate with it.

We have the electric stove in ours, so if we put in air, we are going to have to wire up another outlet. We have the fiber glass overhang and seeing yours was the first I have seen like that. Interesting... You have the nice side windows that open up top by the captain's chair, we don't have that and I really wish we did. Nice to have those to let air in. Otherwise, you look the same as ours, interesting the differences...

The vent windows in the helm do come in handy in our hot Florida weather. It thought all the Mariners came with the vent windows-ya learn sumptin new every day.

Seems that it changed sometime within the 1986 model year. Mine was on the wrong side of the change... sad, there are times it gets really hot, stagnant, and unbearable going through a no-wake zone and I wish I had those...
