1987 36 Mariner here. The third Carver we've had. The others were:
#1 New 1988 Carver Riviera
#2 1989 Carver 4207

Bought this 36 that was sitting on land for 10 years. This link brings you to my photobucket page that shows the progress of bringing it back to life http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/waybomb/1987%2036%20Mariner%20Project/.

We sold the Riviera to buy the 42 aft. It had gas engines, and was horrible to pilot in anything but calm water. Sold it and bought "my" boat, a 46 Cougar with triple 900 hp 572s. No problem with waves or weather now! You'll find pix of it on my photobucket page. The 36 Carver is wifey's boat - she hates my Cougar.

Other boats still owned are a 1969 Glaspar Avalon with a 1969 Johnson Electromatic 85 on the back, both in mint condition, and a 1964 Barron flatbottom v-drive drag boat with a really big BBC.

Just picked up my Carver 2 weeks ago..

Nothing yet, other than cleaning her up and getting rid of the God awful curtain and bedding materials and when needed, changing the red bottom to black

Nice Kenny, I've been following your posts. Who ever thought it was a good idea to put red bottom paint on a boat with teal canvas?

It's VC too...we're gonna change it to Copper Bronze when it needs to be redone

Hi. Last year I bought an '89 3607, hard top aft, full canvas.
Making some modifications - new Lewmar anchor system,
new radio, new wash down pump, etc.

Glad to be on a Carver Forum - very helpful. In fact, someone mentioned that the after market wash down pump was probably under the salon-galley stairs. And it was. thanks!

#72 I think.
1989 3607 Aft Cabin, hard top, full canvas. purchased last season in excellent condition.
