Nice aft spiral staircase. Are those custom. DIY? My friend with a 40 ACMY wants to replace his ladder with some.

Thanks guys! The spiral staircase was standard on most of the aft cabins from '94-'96 direct from Carver.

Here are some photos of our first summer with our Carver.

Our boat is in the prime of her life, and definitely not the best looking boat on the water, but we still love her! I sometimes tell people that the Carver 2157 was the bastard child of the Carver line since it is so much smaller than what they build now.

My wife took on a new job last fall working every weekend and a lot of nights. Both of our girls play too many sports to list, and there always seems somewhere to go or something to do. My wife is close to a promotion to get her Monday thru Friday 9-5. We are hoping to have a newer boat at a marina in town next year and get a lot of use out of it. Last year we were out every weekend, this year we have only been out 3 times. We are hoping to get out at least one more time this year.

What do you think (objectively) of your boat. There is a 40 version of yours at my marina. An empty nest couple is looking to step up from their 25 SR Bowrider. I have been on the 40 and liked it but could not speak to the ride or long and shortcomings of the craft.
