Looking to get our Safety Inspection...and I have a couple of questions...
Nav rules--I downloaded all 226 pages on to my laptop and I have the two plastic "cheat
sheets" that fit into a 3 ring binder. I told Chris to memorize the Nav Rules in case the
laptop died...don't worry, I smarted off after I had dinner.
Item 14-State and/or Local Requirements..anyone know what these are?
On the discussion items---HUH? Do they ask you any of these? Like playing "Stump the
dummy"??
On Page 4 it says inflatable PFDs don't count unless you are wearing them?? Does that include boats of all sizes? what if you are at the dock when they check your boat?
Even our dog has a PFD WITH a water activated strobe (Hey...she is black).
any info appreciated.
We are planning on going down to our slip Sunday, maybe we will see some of you down
there...hey..will they inspect your vessel in its slip?
I can't drive it right now for medical reasons...think they would do it in the slip?
