China camp

Anyone ever cruise to China Camp by SF. It was a national park but I think it has been closed. Huell Howser did a piece on it awhile back and it looked like a great place to visit. Used to be a Chinese camp for catching and processing shrimp

Used to anchor off there quite a bit. Good protection from west winds. If you have one, there are a couple places to beach or tie off a dinghy and take a walk. I recall it being a state park. Nice spot.

small correction, it is a state park, it has "service reduction" which doesn't sound like a problem to the main portion of the park, I should drive over today and find out

I have enjoyed this park often, more from land than by bay, but have anchored there several time and several stories told to me about anchoring fiasco's by others. If you have a particular question, i shall try to assist, though I am no expert.
