Hi

Anybody been to clam pond lately. Can you anchor overnight? Its seems some what protected.

Also what type of bottom? concerned about the anchor holding, if I take some quick trips in the dinghy.

Actually I have never been there. Its a small cove between Saltaire and Fair Harbor. It appears to have deep water, but looks a little tricky to get into.
 
Looks tight as a clam to me!

I would not attempt to go in there with anything larger than a dinghy. Let us know what you find.

Maybe it's a 2' and a 3' or its a large sinkhole!

If you look on Sat view, there are no boats much further than that skinny spot just west of the marina. I see dinghy in there.

I am sure it's ok up to the marina as there are some decent sized boats there
