Clogged Head Vacuflush

Vic I got one of the 1st sold to the public. I remember reading the launch in my ABYC periodical and calling you. I have had mine installed for 2 full seasons.
I'm trying to not put the VF in a bad light it worked fine for me but not my wife. I'm smart enough to know the VF has been out for years so the ME only has a short history at best. Probably not fair at this point to compare them for longevity.
I can only speak for my boat. I also figure if I ever really need raw water to flush it (both water tanks went dry, watermaker failure or the freshwater pump failed a bucket of water poured into the ME would do the trick.

"George, CalTexFla or Pascal how many times have you had to clear clogs with your VF's?"

in about 50 head years (nr of heads x nr of years, owned or captained), i probably had 3 clogs to clear. one was a kid flushign a bunch of bounty paper towel... another one was a "white tailed mouse", and the third was "something" caught at teh bottom of the bowl, cleared in second with a wire hanger.

otherwise, one burned up motor, a few duckbills, 2 vac switches, and something like 5 bowl seals (those where for the most part preventive maintenance).

and keep in mind, 2 of the 3 VF on my boat have been seing daily use, year round, for the past 7 years. not the occasional week end flush in summertime.

I dont' think they're better or worst than the Atlantes or other quality electrics, it just comes down to personal preference
