CLOSURE AT PORT COEYMANS, NY ON MONDAY JULY 12, 2010.

1. The Willis Avenue Bridge replacement span will be loaded onto two barges at Port Coeymans, NY on Monday, July 12, 2010. The two barges will transport the bridge span down the Hudson River, to Weeks Marine Facility in Greenville, NJ.

2. The following restrictions will be enforced during the noted timeframes. The restrictions may be revised during the transit due to unforeseen conditions that may be encountered.

July 12 at 0230 to July 12 at 1730 (Loading)
The Hudson River is closed to all vessels between 42В°28'42.100"N, 073В°47'19.100"W (Hudson River Light 191 LLNR 38865) and 42В°29'11.692"N, 073В°47'14.142"W (Hudson River Light 193 LLNR 38875)

July 13 at 0530 to 0830 (Transit)
A No Meeting and No Overtaking zone during the 3 hour transit from Port Coeyman's NY to 41В°14'44.700"N, 073В°49'45.800"W (Hudson River Light 129 LLNR 38550)

July 13 at 0530 to July 14 at 0530 (Transit)
No vessels are authorized within 100 yards of the two Weeks Marine barges with the loaded bridge span. Vessels are required to transit at No Wake speed when meeting or overtaking the two Weeks Marine barges.

July 14 (Transit)
A No Meeting and No Overtaking zone during the 60 minute transit between the eastern and western sections of Anchorage Ground No. 19 on the Hudson River.

4. Navigation arrangements may be made by contacting the Coast Guard escort vessel on scene.
 
Saw a picture of the Willis Ave. bridge replacement in the paper today. 350' of steel bridge spanning two barges welded together coming down the Hudson should be quite a site. According to the paper they are leaving Coeymans today and will arrive in Bayonne late Wednesday afternoon.

Anybody know of a site that has updates where the bridge is and etas for different areas along the Hudson? I'd like to see it when it passes by Newburgh, the kids would get a kick out of it. My guess is it would be around 8pm tonight or so.
 
It's supposed to be in the Stony Point area around 3 PM.
