I need some information on what needs to be done to convert a fresh water boat to use in salt water. I have a Cruisers 3375 with twin Merc 7.4 w/bravo 3's. I would prefer to have to have inboard drives, but I have I/Os.
I know the engines can be equiped with fresh water cooling. Is that adequate? Or, can I operate safely and without too much trouble without the conversion to fresh water cooling if I flush the engines with fresh water after oprating?
Will there be a problem with the generator cooling? Or, is there a way to flush w/fresh water?
Are there any publications that would be helpful.
