Countdown, T - 0! It's here, It's here!

Mike, I saw your bottom tonight and it is .......painted.....

Had 1st dinner....3rd or 4th beer on the boat today...Ahhhh, better than...Welllllll

That's great news, too bad it's supposed to pour all day tomorrow! We'll be up with Giggity this weekend.

Butch, make sure you have some extra cold ones in that cooler.

Butch, when you're sitting on the bottom like that don't you worry about possible damage to you boat's props, rudders, or shafts with all that weight pushing down on them? I know you said it sits in mud...but something harder could be under that mud.

Hey Mike;

Being that it is now April, and whereas a number of us now have our boats in the water, I was wondering what your plans are for supplying week-end weather?

I don't want to seem pushy, but we're ready.

Pete, trust me, I'm working on it - looks like Sunday will be nice.

I'm sad to say, with moving and all, I haven't been ON my boat since October. I sure hope all is well under the plastic. The retired guys at the CYC kicked butt during the week and opened the basin last week which is about a month early for us. Normally I'm the first or second in...not this year. And to make matters worse, I have to fix / connect the electric for the docks this weekend 'cause all the fellow boaters keep staring at me...I don't want the mob to get restless.

Sorry for venting, oddly, my wife just doesn't understand the frustation of standing on shore watching others enjoy their boats.

I used to be a die hard, gotta be in the water April 1st kind of guy.

Shrink wrap came off St. Pattys day and splashed by the 1st. Did that for more than 10 years.

But I started to notice that the first 2-3 weeks in April mostly sucked, cold, raining, windy. Not a great time to enjoy the boat.

My pristine clean boat would be black streaked in no time.

I've been launching the last week April/first week of May lately and don't regret it at all.

My CC will go in earlier so I can help the declining Shad population and try and get a few keeper Bass for the dinner table, but the big boat won't be uncovered for a few weeks.

Sucks getting old, doesn't it Jonathan???

John, I don’t worry too much about the mud. I get concerned when it’s low and bouncing all over. Better chance of it hitting some thing. Try not to run AC; don’t want all that mud going thru the unit. One thing I have noticed in the past is there is usually a hole where the props sit from the boat sitting and running the engines as you start out. Water seems to be deeper at the stern of the boat.

Fortunately that does not happen that often. This is the first time in this slip that I have seen it that low....

Now as far as getting old, let me tell you all....IT SUCKS!

Just need some easy cruisin time on the
boat and no worry's guys, that should slow the age process down some.

Warm days and cool nights are right around the corner.
Jon.

We should replace the PB camera with a pan and tilt. Then we can control it via ip

I see noting but docks and fog in that picture Mike

They moved it, not sure if it made it into the water, but if not,I'm damn close!

Russ, that's a great idea, how do we sell them on it?

WEll Mike , you are in the slings by the pit...

Those things that spin round and round are on...

Congrats Hogan,

Glad to hear your almost in . That camera is cool, great idea, they just need to get it working better.

If they get that remote camera thing going ,I'm sold ,after reading about the thefts on the other thread, I'd move my boat around the corner if they had room.

Ah, so close, I can taste it...

Jon, give em a call, there might be slips available.

As the NFG , I hate to be pain in the butt , but once you get the anchor, don't you get access to the subscribers only section & pm , also ?

thanks Jon
