Ok, I've tried with no success to get the courtesy deck light fixtures off to change the bulbs. These fixtures are chrome, about 2 inches round with a Phillips head screw at the top. Anyone with knowledge about how to remove these to replace the bulbs will be a hero!!

You need to loosen the Phillips head screw (or thumb screw depending on the year) almost all the way out in order to remove the cover. Loosening the screw slightly will allow the cover to be rotated. If the screw is corroded up (common problem because the cover is chrome plated crap metal, try some PB Blaster or in extreme cases, I have used Loctite Freeze and Release for really stubborn screws and bolts. I always have a can of each in my tool box. I never understood why Perko never made these out of stainless or bronze. Zamack doesn't even last in fresh water.

Thank you 32 Carver. I've got one off now and thinking seriously of replacing all of them with new ones.

If you are going to replace them, strongly consider going LED lights. Low amperage, long life and can eliminate the Zamack corrosion issues.
