Best way is to remove it to see the complete crack and not the part thats leaking . But Yes, simple fiberglass repair, sand, clean with acetone, apply glass material, apply resin or epoxy.
I burned the exhaust flange on my Centak waterlift muffler when I had a bad riser that clogged and cut water flow. I took it to a fiberglass shop and they fabricated a new flange and glassed it into the muffler body-$200-way much less than a new muffler and its going strong 3 years later. Repair is the way to go-just make sure they know what they are doing.
