When was your trip? and was it an orgainzed club event?

Thanks for sharing your video. Very well done!

Great video. Thanks so much. Really enjoyed it now that I am no longer on the water. Brought back memories.

Thanks for the well put together video. In late April, I've been the only boat at the turning basin!

Arnold,

Where did you begin your trip from and where did you cross San Pablo Bay? At high tide can you cross the bay at any point? Thanks

deltabighat,
We left from Alameda at about 9:30 in the morning to be in San Pablo Bay close to high tide so the water depth was never less than 15 feet even at the entrance of the Petaluma River. From the “Brothers”, with a course of 345 degrees, it was easy to pick up the well marked channel. Although, at high tide you could possibly use more space depending on your draft, we did not want to take any chances and we stayed in the channel watching carefully our depth finder.

Thanks Arnold,

I made the mistake one day of heading straight across the bay from the mothball fleet to shipping channel. Fortunately we were just idleing along when we ran into the mud. We went straight back to the fleet, then west to the bridge and across the bay practically under the bridge. Like an idiot, I didn't check the tide tables before crossing. By the way folks, if you haven't heard about or had the chance to stay overnight on the East Brother Light Station and have their marvelous gourmet dinner and breakfast, its something to consider. My wife was very impressed with me after that trip.
Very romantic with outstanding food.....a bit pricey but well worth it.

How much water does your vessel draw?

Great music too...!
