Ken and Mary: Welcome to the Bay. Good spot to start explorin up and down. We are up the way slightly in Shady Side at Chesapeake Yacht club. We also belong to another club that we also cruise with, and many members have Happy hrs. during off season, and all around good functions. They are now on the end of the yearly week cruise, and the name is Back Creek Yacht Club. All kind of different folks and boats, and dosen't matter if you are 18 ft. or 18 meters. all welcome.
There is also a fellow at your marina named Dave Cohen on B dock. He also has a 43 Silv. like us, and he is docked next to a Carver, and there are 3 or 4 of them that cruise frequently. Good Folks.

Herring Bay Yacht Club, based in Herrington Harbour North and South. Their last event was a new members chili cook-off at your marina in the pool area. They are gearing up for their long cruise the second week of August to Wildwood NJ and the northern Chesapeake. They maintain a bulletin board at the marina office to the side of the stairs which has applications and they have a web site (HBYC.org) There are several members that own Carvers and there are around 20 members with slips at your marina.
