Hello
Asked a few questions about this topic a couple of months ago.
Went to DC today and looked at Gangplank, Capitol, and Washington marinas.
Forgot to look at James Creek Marina
Capitol and Gangplank didn't have room, didnt seem to enthusiastic about transients (gang especially), but Washington may have room and thir docks looked outstanding compared to G and C. Parking and getting there however, look to be a challenge. Overall, I was very glad Cap and Gang made it very difficult for transients to get a slip.
Also went to Alexandria and checked that out--will be great for our use.
My plan is to have numerous guests and customers come to the boat around 530, socialize etc, and then do an evening cruise to Alexandria. Spend some time there and return to start point.
Wash Marina looked great but worried about parking (hope most take taxis).
James Creek Marina on the other hand looked very nice (web site)and might be better for parking etc.
Anyone stay at James creek, good for parking, safe neighborhood, etc?
I think most of my guests will be coming from hotels etc near the convention center and know most will take taxis.
I looked at the map and had a hard time guessing how to get to WAshington marina. James Creek looked much more straight forward.
Thanks again for any info.
