Dear Hogan,

This weekend I will be taking my first vacation since last August. The boat is running like a dream, the second mortgage for the fuel bill has been approved, the kids are excited, the dog is ready and even the wife is looking forward to it.

Can you please do something about the weather. We plan on making the trip no matter what. I just don't want to be stuck in the cabin all weekend.

Please see what you can do!

Sincerely,

Burnt-out!

I'll try, but it seems my powers have weakened!

Chris,
I too will be vacationing on the boat next week, where you going? Me, Newport, Greenport, Riverhead...

Walter

Me, I'm stuck here. We have a new enclosure being installed. Not sure how it is going to go this week. No bridge enclosure, no travel..
Chris which dock are you headed to?

We'll stock up a bit. Jonf left a couple of bottles of wine up here when he came by. ;) The usual folks from Haverstraw and Piermont have already invaded :D

I was planning on leaving for roundout fri. but have to meet contractors for a sub-development bid on sat morning, it's cutting into my boat time but it's better to get them all together in one shot.
Drink up Dan, plenty more where that came from hope it's ok i know nothing about wines cept how to drink em, anyway hope to see FREEDOM's stern before it gets dark saturday
have a good weekend gang Jon

We're just going up the river to Kingston and staying at Dan and Deb's place. Sat, sun and maybe monday night but probably not. Vacation starts tonight as we gas up, pump head and get ready.

Dan, I'm not sure what dock they'll put us on. Last time we were next to a ~44' Carver with the golden retriever "Buddy", bow facing the creek (forget the couple's name but remember the dog..odd). We really liked that setup.

Jon, maybe we'll see you around roundout! This year we might even stray from the boat a bit (but within eye sight) as the girls are getting older.

Dan and all enjoy Kingston this weekend. We are not going to make it this year. Boat + kids = Forget it. Plus the weather is not supposed to be good and keeping the cramped in a 30ft boat if going to make things worse.

BTW - I got lots of the good wine Dan. If you head down this way I can share......

Will supplying wine help with your weather control powers, Hogan?

It certainly couldn't hurt to try!

Rob, glad to hear you got another good batch! I still have yet to get involved in the place with everything we have going on, it could be another year...
Chris et all, have a safe ride.

P.S. Chris, you'll never guess what a Captain transporting a boat did this week.

Ruh Roh, he mowed the meadow.

I wonder how THAT works in regards to paying for the repair, etc. I assume the captain has professional liability insurance as opposed to using the owner's insurance.

Yeah, I spent quite a bit of time with him yesterday going over the trip to Brewerton. I said half way through, I get some consultation fees ya know? He laughed and asked more questions. I was surprised he was going to wait until this morning to shake it down after the repairs. So I suggested that when it is splashed he take it out, and sure enough last night he took it out and shook it down. They left this morning so I guess things are ok now.
By the way he was full tilt boogie when he hit.[:-splat]

Plan on splitting for roundout around 4 or 5 pm sat.

just got in gonna eat and shower and try to make bear mtn fireworks.

Walshie , have a safe trip , hope to make it before dark sat. hope they can squeeze me in some place without a res.
