It's getting about that time when I fill the tanks for the year - big ouch. Last year, and in the past, there have been Internet sights that post the daily gas prices of most spots along the Delta. Not always accurate, but close enough that it helps me decide who to phone and ask questions. Last year I spent the night tied up at Lundberg's and the next morning motored a short distance and was amazed to find the cheapest price by far - so I filled up! Wasn't Boyd's, but close by to there, I have to look on the receipt. Anyway, is there still a sight with the prices posted? I'll be headed up in the next couple of weeks I suspect. And yes, even with my 10% slip holder discount it is still much cheaper to burn dozens of gallons on the trip and tank up on the Delta rather than on the bay. Thanks!

You probably filled up at "Hook Line and Sinker 2" at Russo's Marina [Shell]. They run a lot of bass tournaments out of there and sign a fuel contract with the Pro Bass Assoc. for the year each spring. They charge the price to all of their customers and maintain it until it is time for the next contract. I don't know what they are charging right now, but you can call them 925-684-0668.

BTW---Boyd's hasn't sold gas for about 10 yrs......Russo's has no diesel; just reg and high octane.

Russo's is no longer a Shell station. It looks like they went with an independent supplier.

Geez, I went right past there yesterday and did not notice! 'Course I was dodging all those bass boats at the time.......

I think I blew it when I passed on $2.61 a gal gas this past Christmas.

Low grade at Discovery Bay was $3.21 the other day.

You can try logging onto our club's web site at www.sacramentobaylinerclub.org from there view the current newsletter. It has list of all the delta fuel places and their prices. Pittsburg was the cheapest for diesel followed closely by Village West Marina. I didn't check the gas prices.

If you're burning diesel, I'd also check the commercial fuel dock at the Hyde Street pier. If you are taking on more than 300 gallons their price has always been hard to beat.

Thanks. My recollection of last year was a Chevron pump, but indeed the place was the start of many fishing tourney's so I may be wrong. And Village West does often have the lowest price - when the pumps are working - but that's way up further than I plan for now, maybe later in the summer. I burn gas, and often think about getting diesel, but for the capital outlay to buy diesel I can burn an awful lot of gas...

Antioch and Pittsburg are always selling fuel at competitive prices.

I filled up at Russo's/Hook Line & Sinker. The 89 octane was $3.59 and 92 octane was $3.69. These prices will probably stay the same for the rest of the year.
