Hi all,

The local Detroit Diesel dealer near me is no longer in business on Long Island. The next closest is in New Jersey, which isnВґt a very good option. Diesel pro seems like a good on line source. Does anyone have another site that they use.

Thanks,

Billy K.

You’re not kidding. I was running a boat built in the early 60’s with a pair of 6V-53’s well into the 2000’s. Parts were an all out scavenger hunt. I’ve been running a boat type with 6V-92TA’s since. We have a centralized parts program now, but I’ll see if I can find out who the actual commercial vendors are when I get back to work Monday.

Diesel Pro is right here in Miami and ships a lot of parts to central and South America. They were the only one willing to buy my old 8V71s when I repowered. For peanuts but peanuts is better than nothing

Thanks for everybody's help. Diesel Pro seems to be set up the best for on line parts ordering. I need a gasket set for my heat exchanger and I want to replace the fuel filter bracket with a spin on.
Thanks for your suggestions
Billy K.
