I'm about to install a new Jabsco head. The discharge outlet (to holding tank) is 1" and comes with the 1.5" adapter. I have to make a VERY sharp turn of the hose within about 1-1.5 feet from the head and the 1" hose is easier to make this bend. So here's the question (yes, there's a question)...should I have the absolute least amount of the 1" hose before using the adapter? How far is too far? And, how badly does the 1" hose restrict the system? I'd like to make the turn with the 1" and then immediately adapt to the 1.5" hose. Yeah, I know...it's a crappy question. Thanks.

You should be able to use as much 1 inch hose as you like. The head should break up everything (as long as you have eaten it first) so small that it will not make a difference.

Go to Home Depot or Lowe's, to the section that has gray PVC electrical conduit. You can get pre-formed "sweep elbows" in just about any size you need. You may be able to find something there that will work - and you won't have to worry about it kinking.

Capt. Bill is correct, you should be able to use 1" I.D. hose all the way to the ultimate destination. The Jabsco unit is designed to work with 1" I.D. hose.
