I don't have a wide angle lens but this rainbow was a perfect double after the severe storms that rocked the area yesterday. Reached all the way across the bay/river ending somewhere over by Pennybridge.

How beautiful Rommer! Thanks for sharing.

That was before the lightning bolt hit one of the poles in our marina. It sounded like someone set off a bomb!

Wow nice pics. lightning bolts hitting a pole , scary very scary , We were down there yesterday and got out of the water just before the T-storms hit thankfully .

Here are two shots of the pole that was struck. this happened about 1/2 hour after the rain ended and we heard the last thunder. It was very scary

Thanks for the pics, glad to see no ones boat got hit or worse , lightning has to be about the worst feeling on the water when you are the highest thing around, at least for me anyway, have a good week guys catch up with you one of these weekends ... Jon

Is it as dangerous to be aboard in the marina during lightning?

Don't have a clue , they say a car is safe & the juice would ground through the tires sounds about right. Hope no one has to find out the hard way..... Jon

If you are in a sail boat or for that fact near one. We saw lighting strike a mast last year and then the smoke could be seen. The following day a power boat that was sitting along side of it was towed into our marina with electrical damage. Artc jumped from one boat to the other...

For the prices Panco charges, I'm not surprised they have a pot of gold there!

Thats what we are paying for, there gold......

I won't buy Panco's gold. They haven't received a dime from me in years.

I do from time to time drop off a load of human waste....

Ever since they raised their prices almost a dollar a gallon the week BEFORE Katrina struck, I, too refuse to purchase from them, although I am more than happy to leave them my digested waste.

Where do you guys go haverstraw ? who is the cheapest around local?

good to know thanks , i don't see how they can survive by charging more and be so close to haverstraw, doesn't make sense to me. Jon

Haverstraw also has Valv-tec in their gas, Panco does not.
