I want to get my newly purchsed 1990 Silverton 34 foot boat all buffed up. We have two guys and two cordless drills. We wanted to buy some buffinf pads that are used with cordless drills...

Anyone used one of those for thier boat? If so what brand and how did it work?

no,no,no,no and no....it wont work, first off the cordless drills will use ,at best 4" pads, then attempting to remove compound and wax will drive you batty, buy or rent a polisher ( variable speed ) then visit an auto paint shop and buy foam 3M pads for a 5/8 arbor polisher, then have one of your amigo's apply the compound, then you come behind him and remove....gently, as to not harm gel coat, same apply's for wax,Trust me,you will find this to be ALOT easyer than cordless drills..

Those cordless drills will need a charge about evey 15 minutes!!!!
