My repair shop emailed me the following photos showing major corrosion to the drive shaft where the impellor is situated. It has been replaced.
Why didn't my zincs spare the shaft? Are there internal zincs which I should change out in the future? How can I prevent this in the future? It is an Alpha Gen II outdrive original in 1991. The external zincs usally last 9 to 12 months........
