Dry stack

My friend is looking for a dry stack for a Sea Ray 31 while he digs out from economic issues. Maybe even a dry storage area.

I would imagine that the maintenance would be less in a dry stack, but I wonder if the fees would be less than a typical marina.

I suppose that just a cheap(er) marina might be suitable.

Though there are a few places with a drystack facility capable of storing a 31'er, I'd say a better bet would be for a boat yard to store it.

A few phone calls to local boat yards might reveal a good source.

Yea, I'd suggest he dry store it in a covered storage area. He should "winterize" it and probably remove as much fuel as possible since it will be unused for a long period of time. Best of luck to him.

BTW, a storage facility which is not on the water will be much cheaper.......

That's the understatement of the year! :)

More like a complete demo and built new from scratch! A "clean slate", so to speak. Pretty much everything except for the ramp.

I spent over 15 years at Whiskey Slu. Ed and Jolly were like an aunt and uncle to me.

It was sad to see the entire placed leveled, but it was time. I took some pics of the entire process.

I don't agree with everything that they have done (and some stuff they haven't done) but hey, it's their business.

I've heard some info that doesn't sound too promising. I hope things turn around soon.

For everyone's sake...
