We have gone to E-10 fuel in Oregon as of January, so I will be using it in my 1989 Regal Ambassador this season. I have an aluminum fuel tank. Any advice from those who have made this switch?

I had a 1980 Sea ray when they introduced E-10 a few years ago here in N.J.. All I did was change fuel filters and No problems. We used our 1992 Regal last season and again changed the filters and again No problems. And interesting side note is that according to the Manager of our Marina is That you only have use 1/2 the required amount of Sta Bil at the end of the as The E -10 already has it in it .

Make sure you run the existing tank as low as possible before filling with the new fuel. Helps prevent phase separation or something like that. The old fuel and new fuel don't co-exist well.

Listen to what Rommer is saying here, the 2 types of fuel don't play well together, Get it down to the bottom and make sure you carry spare filters and a tupperware container that you can use to put the old fuel filled filter in it.ea.

This happened to me at sea and I had to scramble to find one of the wifes tupperwares to hold the fuel and filter in. She was not happy. Better to plan ahead for these kind of things.
