I got the book "Cruising Guide to San Francisco Bay" and then brought up Google Earth to get
the GPS coordinates for each place we want to go. Plus I saved the photo of the anchorage as we would see it from a couple thousand feet up. Plus I put a marker down with all the pertinent anchoring info on it.

Hopefully, by doing this, I can take the guess work out of going to "the spot".

If you have any nice spots for anchorage, please feel free to list them here. I can list those I have at the West Garrison and Sand Springs Anchorage if anyone is interested.

Thanks for suggesting the Cruising Guide.....the only thing I would like to see them add would be GPS coordinates.

I'm on my way to the SF Bay from LA and plan to get the "Cruising Guide to San Francisco Bay" and would be interested in those way points.

I'm starting to use SeaClear II nav software with old style raster charts and I'd like to be able to plug in the points.

Can you list some of your data or e-mail me.

Thanks

I have a few plotted out, but mostly around Angel Island. I have found a difference between Google Earth and the Raster Charts. The Capn figured Google Earth rounded off some of their info. So I have downloaded several photos of the areas, thought I would check for myself.

Our youngest daughter is staying with us right now, had surgery on a bone in her foot. She has been on crutches for about ten days now and was just told to stay off her feet for two more weeks. Sooooo I guess our trip will be delayed too. We don't want to leave her here to fend for herself, so we will put off our trip. No matter how old the youngest gets, she is always our "baby girl".
