Anyone planning to do any boating this weekend? it is supposed to be nice out.

We'll be boating in the Biscayne Bay area on this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We might spend part of the day on Friday at Boca Chita, but not if dockage is filled up. Possibly Elliot Key on Saturday. Haven't thought about Sunday yet.

we're going to be out but all work no play... on charter. Eliott saturday, KL/islamorada on sunday, marathon on monday...

it's pretty windy tonight, about 15kts here in the grove...

So what happened? Last night was perfect, no wind, clear skies. Than I get up this morning it is overcast and windy; is this the way it is going to be all weekend?!

Forecast for Key Biscayne is mostly sunny and 84 for both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday winds South at 12. ..Sunday winds northeast at 11. Looks good to me.

Made the Dania Cut Off / New River loop this afternoon in the Whaler. Had a nice cruise up to The Cove in Deerfield on a friend's old ProLine WA two nights ago, cuts the time in half now that it is past March 31!

We are taking the big boat down to Marathon and the Keys at O-dark hundred on Monday. Might head over to Bimini and beyond next week, weather permitting. If not, may cruise the lower west coast for a few days. Then start the northern migration back to Massachusetts on the 28th. Looks like the Okeechobee will be too shallow, so getting ready to abort that plan and head back up the east coast.

currently all the way up the New River.

Take your time. Weather up here is cold, rainy and windy.

Pascal - Your definition of work is interesting, sign me up.

it's 15kts here at Eliott, mostly south... nice and sunny, there a thunderstorm up on Miami but sunny down here.

George,

we probably ran into you yesterday then, we went up to Bahia Mar in the morning and then back down to miami in the afternoon on the ICW. Are you going outside on monday? If you go on the inside, favor the green side at Haulover... on centerline of the temp markers and from the center line to the reds, it's under 6' MLW but 10' MLW centerline to greens. it's an abrupt step, jumps right at you.

We'll be around marathon on monday then back up to Miami on the outside on tuesday... I'm also heading north around the 28th. it's about time we meet!

We came upon 'Charmer" at Elliot Key. We anchored about 200 yards away, and briefly saw Pascal. He rib-dinked over just to say hi, but had to head back after a couple minutes, as he was on Captain duty. Good to see you again, Pascal. We made it back from Elliot Key with only a sprinkle back at Matheson Hammock. No heavy rain. Very light seas.

Pascal was not on the PWC?

The weather here is great also. Mid 80's winds about 5 MPH. I might have to skip working on the house tomorrow and do a little boating.

Pascal, we will probably pass each other on Tuesday. I plan on going outside tomorrow to Rodriguez Key, maybe Snake Creek. Thanks for the heads up on the Haulover (in case we stay in), it has been sketchy all winter.

The trip north this year will be much faster than prior (I hope). We won't spend the same amount of time in North Carolina, Baltimore, or exploring the Hudson and goofing around NYC. Theory is to be in Westport, MA by the week before July 4.

just passed by Rodriguez a short while ago, we're anchored off Holiday Isle. I was thinking about anchoring at Rodriguez tomorrow nigth on the way back... maybe we'll see you there... Hawk Channel was perfect this morning!
