Electric inline fuel pump install

Hello all.
Can anyone provide some insight as to where an in-line electric fuel pump gets installed on a merc 5.7?

My remans have no opening for the mechanical off my old engine so I'm a bit perplexed on where to install the new electrics. After the separator and before the carb obviously but what have others done with regards to mounting it?

I used an electric pumps bracket mounted to the 2 mounting holes for the fuel pump .This allowed me to reuse the tubing from the sep to the oem pump on the electric pump and the oem fuel line to the new electric pump from the carb

Dont forget the safety pressure switch

ditto on the oil pressure safety switch and a bypass circuit to make sure the pump is powered when cranking the engine till oil pressure builds up.
