I have the electro-san and I keep boat in the northern Chesapeake Bay (Middle River). I am trying to figure out how much salt per flush I need to provide.

Does anyone know the capacity of each chamber in the electro-san or do you know how much salt per flush I need? Thanks.

I started with 2 tablespoons of table salt, ran the Lectrasan, and adjusted quantity until the lites indicated the process completed successfully. I then marked a plastic pill bottle with the proper level.

What I do.....I'm in brackish water & after heavy rain & salt content is lowered; I pour in some super saturated salt water into bowl. I keep a gallon on board & pour, I guess, about a pint of solution into bowl with incoming water. Works for me.

Ocean seawater contains 4.3 oz. of NaCl, by weight, per gallon - that's what you'll need to replicate. Depending on where you are on the Chesapeake, and how much water you use per flush, you could need anywhere from 1 oz to the 4.3 oz. of salt per flush, mentioned above. The lower Chesapeake is fairly salty, but the farther north you go, the less salt there is. When you go north of Annapolis, there isn't much salt at all in the water.
