Vic: Looking to install an Electro Scan but wonder about the requirements. Specifically, what if I cannot stay within 6 feet of the Vacuflush heads (2 of them)with the ES unit. Can't get any closer than about 10 feet on one of them.
Second question, can't get on the same level as the heads. Close to 24" difference in the level of the heads to the proposed install site. Heads would be lower. Is this a show stopper? Thanks for helping.

Are you going to install the unit AFTER your holding tank? Is there room for the ES near the tank? With such an installation you can use Raritan's Hold 'n Treat system which will monitor your tank and start to process waste once the tank begins to get full.

(BTW, I've got a used Electro Scan for sale....)

Boomer, in the case of adding an electro-Scan system onto a Vacuflush, the treatment unit must be mounted within a six foot hose run of the vacuum pump, not the toilet itself.

Vic, thanks for the reply. May be ok with one of the vacuum units, have to measure the other a little closer.

What about the level, is that also referring to the vacuum units? One is ok, other down 24". Will this work or is the lift too great?

Vic: Sorry about the poorly worded question. Let me try again: In the ES owners manual it says to locate the top of the treatment tank at or below the level of the toilet (or in my case the vacuum units for the vacuflush) and within 6 feet. Got the 6 feet part ok, but don't think I can work out the "top of the tank level" issue. Any wiggle room here? One of the vacuflush units is low in the hull the other will sit at the same level as the treatment tank. Any options to work around the issue. Relocation of the low unit not really possible.

Thanks for the help.

Boomer, the top of the treatment unit being lower that the discharge fitting of either the head or the vacuum pump is the IDEAL installation; but you can rarely meet the requirements for the IDEAL installation on any boat. Don't be concerned about it - as long as it isn't 3 feet higher than the vacuum pump, you shouldn't have any problem at all. A foot or so, either way, is pretty much inconsequential.
