Hi everyone,

I started boating on this mid August. This is very first boating season and ending… My kids 8 years old boy and 4years old girl and me and my wife have enjoyed first boat experience and enjoyed. 2665 was perfect choice for us. Feel little sad...I set up winterize my boat on November 5th. We are looking forward to enjoy couple more weekends.

I realize lot of marine life has glowed bottom? Only 3 months...? much more than other boat around us in the marina…? Is there something that I should do? I been told dealer did paint and don't need anything.

Take a look at it when it is hauled and pressure-washed. Hopefully, you will likely see the growth is just on the outdrive(s), and not on the bottom. If you have just had the bottom painted this year, there is no way that you would have growth there.

Welcome to the forum!

It is possible to get growth on the hull even with bottom paint if the boat is not used much. Especially if the boat yard used ablative type bottom paint. This paint works on the principal of friction. As the boat moves thru the water the paint surface wears away along with the growth.

Take the boat out for a nice fast ride and see if the bottom looks cleaner.

That's what I am thinking too...I will talk to dealer.

Hi Rommer,

Thank you for welcoming me!

I spoke with dealer who did bottom paint before they deliver the boat. They say did use right paint…I should use more often on the shore even I went out almost every weekend;)
