OK, so i've got all the mechanical (for now!) done and i'm trying to keep everything clean and running good.
I've got what i think must be a fresh water flushing system for each motor.
I have no manual on how this works. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
1. I start the motor.
2. Turn on the fresh water which is connected to the cockpit fitting
3. close the thru hull to shut off salt water
4. run it for ????
5. turn off engine, disconnect fresh water and reopen up the thru hulls.
Someone else told me i should be able to just run the fresh water thru the system, but, that just caused my strainer to start leaking fresh water from all the pressure. The raw water pump is mechanical on the engine, so, that won't work.
Thanks in advance. I'm hoping to get some better pictures of the boat this weekend if the weather holds. Been alot of rain and clouds for the last few weeks.
